Who We Are
Developing Communities Everywhere (DCE) is a Black-led, community-based Canadian non-profit committed to providing equitable access to skills building, entrepreneurship, mentorship, and social services for Black women, youth, and families. Our mandate is to create fair, culturally grounded pathways for social and economic empowerment.
We address systemic barriers, strengthen community capacity, and promote long-term resilience. Our work is rooted in equity, cultural pride, and a deep commitment to the well-being of the communities we serve. With over 14 years of community service experience, DCE has grown into a respected organization with strong local and provincial partnerships across Canada.

Our signature programs are designed to meet Black youth and families where they are — delivering culturally responsive programming that builds real skills, real confidence, and real futures.
We Strive Entrepreneurship Program
Equitable access to business incubation, mentorship, micro-grants, and digital skills training for aspiring Black entrepreneurs.

Mind Matters
A culturally responsive mental health and wellness program supporting the emotional well-being and resilience of Black youth across Canada.

What We Offer
DCE's programming is holistic, community-driven, and always evolving to meet the needs of the families and youth we serve. Our six core service pillars work together to address the whole person — mind, body, and community.
Entrepreneurship
The We Strive Program provides Black youth and women with business tools, mentorship, and micro-grant access to launch and grow their ventures. ( September 2026)
Mentorship Corner
One-on-one and group mentorship connecting youth with experienced community leaders, professionals, and advocates who reflect their lived experience.
Community Skill Building
Capacity-building training sessions on financial literacy, job readiness, and mental wellness — empowering communities to become self-reliant.
Family Health & Community Well-being
Community Skill Building
Our Community Skill Building programs work exclusively within the communities we operate to curate training sessions and interactive workshops that build real capacity. From financial literacy and job readiness to mental health wellness and leadership skills, every session is tailored and specialized.
